Cookbooks aren't the only places for food in writing. In fact, fresh, crunchy veggies and sweet, fluffy cakes often make their appearances in fiction, playing with our appetites as the characters play with our emotions.

In particular, there's something about romance and food. How many times have we fallen in love over a chocolate soufflé or a glass of wine? Lots of times, in the pages of a book. So here are a few of our favorite foodie love stories. You'll fall in love with the characters and the food!

Culinary Delights: Four Delectable Foodie Romances

In “Apples Should be Red,” what happens when opposites are forced to spend a holiday together? They attract. The stories in this book are creative, romantic, sexy and delicious—and had us wishing for seconds! (We were thrilled to see the bonus recipes!)
